Tell me about how you discovered VETIGEL^®?

“I attended the New York Vet Show in November, and came across the VETIGEL^® booth. I talked to the staff on stand, and then to the Veterinary Director remotely. I decided it was something I really wanted for my clinic back in Israel, so I bought some VETIGEL^® syringes and Precision Accessories to take home with me.”

What can you tell me about your use of VETIGEL^®?

“Last week it was a life saver. I had a 30kg dog that needed a maxillary canine removing. The tooth was quite rotten. As I was cutting down on the buccal side of the tooth my scalpel slipped and unfortunately punctured the palatine artery. I used pressure to try and stem the bleeding, but it started again as soon as pressure was removed. So I reached for the VETIGEL and precision accessory. I applied it, and then applied wet gauze. It was still bleeding, but much reduced, so added more (twice) and it then stopped altogether. The cut was in such a place that ligation wasn’t possible, and I feel that dog might have a lost a life-threatening amount of blood if I hadn’t used VETIGEL. So glad I came across the booth in New York.”

Have you used it in any other procedures?

“Yes, I’ve used VETIGEL^® in an enucleation. Although I used electrocautery there was still significant bleeding, which VETIGEL^® stopped quickly.”

What other procedures will you use VETIGEL^®in?

“Well, after seeing how effective it was, I will probably use it for dental extractions in dogs and cats. And I will also keep it on hand for other procedures where bleeding may be an issue. I’ll also use it to help control haemorrhage and triage in trauma cases.”

Would you recommend VETIGEL^® to other veterinarians?

“Most definitely, I’ve already seen the real benefits of its use and would recommend other veterinarians use it.”
